This FreeHand Zero was released to commemorate the event, the Asian Pacific contest held in 2004. Usually at these events, both Zeros and Zero Caps are sold. So I am unsure if this was a general release or simply someone adding the side caps to their own Freehand Zero. If you have any more information, let us know.
